KITECH operates a research institute for each of its three key research areas in the South Korean cities Incheon, Ansan and Cheonan. In order to provide close-range support to SMEs located near their production sites, KITECH also operates regional divisions in Gwangju, Daegu, Busan, Gangneung, Ulsan, Jeonju and Jeju.

By laying a foundation for creative convergence industries using the abundant natural green resources of the island of Jeju, Jeju Technology Application Division (Clean Energy Transition System) seeks to secure new growth engines for the future. In order to build a carbon-free island, the division is focused on developing technologies that utilize Jeju natural eco resources and on supporting SMEs in Jeju to enhance the productivity of R&D activities and to improve the region industrial structure by forming an R&BD network between industry leaders, academia, research institutes and the government.
