For the bright vision of advanced technical cooperation of sharing on root industrial technology and joint research to both Korea and China, KITECH and China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology(hereinafter referred to as “CAM“) convened the 5th CAM-KITECH Symposium of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Cooperation for root industry technology exchange and a collaborative research project in Changzhou, China, during Aug 24~26, 2011. 

For this symposium, Dr. Kyoung Hoan Na, president of KITECH, participated in it with 13 participants as well. Prior to the symposium in Changzhou, KITECH took a tour of inspection in ‘Changzhou Advanced Equipment Engineering Research Center China Academy of Machinery Science & Technology’ and ‘CSR Quishuy An Locomotive Co.,LTD’ which are two leading industrial places in Changzhou. On the day at the symposium, both institutes found the common ground to reinforce th technical cooperation, establishing joint research area presented by six research papers each, which consist of Manufacturing Processes, Precision Molding, Light Welding and Joining Metals, Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment, Plastic Processing with High Definition, based on R&D in three key areas. In addition, two collaborative research project were declared for the first time in fifth symposium to promote collaboration, and diverse and in-depth discussion was came up after.

Finally, as KITECH and CAM reaching to share Memorandum of Understanding for academic exchange and joint research collaboration, Korea and China agreed to continue mutual cooperation in industrial technology for both benefits.
