KITECH succeeded in signing MOU with University of Indonesia for exchange of researchers and technology. Also, another MOU was embedded in the contract among three parties, KITECH, University of Indonesia, and Ministry of Industry, Indonesia altogether for technical cooperation in rare metals. Regarding to this motivation, KITECH anticipates to far more vitalize joint research project, particularly in rare metals. After MOU signed, the workshop was hosted in order to share the mutual understanding of rare metals with each other. During the workshop, ‘Strategies and Perspectives for Securing Rare metals in Korea’ by TAEK SOO KIM, Director of Korea Institute for Rare Metals and ‘The current R&D status & trends on rare metals’ by Min Ha Lee, Principal Researcher of Rare metals R&D Group were presented.

MOU with University Indonesia and Minstry of Industry, Indonesia was initially based on the extension of the consequence by the MOU signed, in order for ‘Korea Indonesia Casting Center(KICC) built, between KITECH and University of Indonesia in 2010. Thus, KITECH has been seeking to disseminate Korean excellent casting technology to Indonesia.
