On June 24, 2014, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) hosted the 6th KITECH-CAM International Symposium on Advanced Manufacturing Technology in collaboration with China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology (CAM). The symposium took place at Meet-you-all Tower in Incheon.

19 people from CAM, including the President Li Xinya and the Vice President Shan Zhongde attended the Symposium to share the views on the future of manufacturing technology and present their research findings.

The aim and objectives of the Symposium was to establish a framework for future cooperation on development of science and technology for mutual benefits, as well as to share the research outcomes of the researchers of both institutes.

Since 2006, KITECH and CAM has been working together for the advancement of manufacturing technology. There have been five symposiums over the last eight years and this year's symposium marks the 6th. The next symposium is planned to be hosted on Harbin next year.
