On Sep. 24, 2014, during the 'Korea – the Czech Republic Joint Economic Committee' in Prague, the Czech Republic, Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Czech Republic’s Technology Agency (TA CR).

KITECH’s President Youngsoo Lee and TA CR's Chairwoman RutBízková signed on the MOU on behalf of each institute. TA CR is an organizational unit of the state that was founded in by the Act No. 130/2002 Coll. on the support of research, experimental development and innovation. The main role of TA CR is to prepare and implement programmes of applied research, experimental development and innovation and thereby contribute to increasing the competitiveness and economic growth in the Czech Republic. 

 

The purpose of the Memorandum was to set out both institutes' mutual understanding of discussions relating to the collaboration and cooperation in facilitation of supporting applied research, experimental development and innovation opportunities.
