KITECH operates a research institute for each of its three key research areas in the South Korean cities Incheon, Ansan and Cheonan. In order to provide close-range support to SMEs located near their production sites, KITECH also operates regional divisions in Gwangju, Daegu, Busan, Gangneung, Ulsan, Jeonju and Jeju.

Daegyeong Technology Application Division (Advanced Mobility Components) is behind all efforts to ensure the transformation of the Daegyeong region, which includes Daegu and Gyeongbuk, into a specialized R&D zone by reigniting the stagnant regional economy and by creating new growth engines. The division endeavors to nurture SMEs in the region by developing and applying technologies tied to Daegyeong¡¯s region-specific industries such as IT, mechatronics and green energy.
